Security settings
Manage your account security from the Profile menu → Security settings page. You can configure two-factor authentication (2FA), manage withdrawal authorization, restrict access by IP address, review login history, and control security notifications.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a second verification step when you log in or authorize transactions. By default, Volet.com sends a one-time code to your registered email.
Available 2FA methods
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
| Email (default) | One-time code sent to your registered email |
| Authenticator app | Time-based one-time code (TOTP) from Protectimus, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any compatible TOTP application |
| Telegram bot | One-time code sent via Telegram |
| Viber bot | One-time code sent via Viber |
| Meta Messenger bot | One-time code sent via Messenger |
Set up an authenticator app (recommended)
Using an authenticator app is more secure than email-based codes and does not depend on email delivery.
- Before setting up, download the authenticator app: Protectimus, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any compatible TOTP application.
- Go to Security settings.
- Under Two-factor authentication, select Authenticator app.
- A QR code appears on screen.
- Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app to verify the setup.
- Confirm the change with your current 2FA method (email code by default).
From this point on, login and transaction confirmations use codes from your authenticator app.
Set up Telegram / Viber / Meta Messenger 2FA
- Go to Security settings.
- Under Two-factor authentication, select Chat-bots.
- Choose the messaging platform you want to use.
- Follow the link to open the Volet.com bot and register your chat.
- Return to the settings page and activate the chosen messenger.
- Confirm by entering the code sent to your messaging app.
Switch 2FA methods
You can switch between methods at any time. Each switch requires confirmation using your current active 2FA method.
OTP preferences
You can control when one-time codes are required:
- Confirm login -- require a code when signing in from the web or mobile app. Enabled by default.
- Confirm withdrawal -- require a code for every withdrawal. Enabled by default.
These are configured under Security settings.
Withdrawal OTP and payment password are mutually exclusive. Enabling a payment password automatically disables withdrawal OTP, and vice versa.
Payment password
A payment password is an alternative to withdrawal OTP. Instead of receiving a one-time code for each withdrawal, you enter a static password and PIN.
- Go to Security settings.
- Under Payment password, select Enable.
- Set a password (1--50 characters) and an 8-digit PIN.
- Confirm with your current 2FA method.
When enabled, you enter the payment password to confirm withdrawals instead of waiting for an OTP code.
Store your PIN safely. It is required if you need to recover your payment password in the future.
Enabling the payment password automatically disables withdrawal OTP. To switch back, disable the payment password first.
IP restriction
Restrict account access to specific IP addresses or IP ranges. When enabled, login attempts from other IP addresses are blocked.
- Go to Security settings.
- Under Restrict access to IP addresses, select Set.
- Add up to 5 specific IP addresses and up to 5 IP ranges. You can also restrict by country.
- Confirm with your current 2FA method.
If you enable IP restriction and your IP address changes (for example, when travelling or switching networks), you will be locked out. Make sure you understand your network setup before enabling this feature.
IP restrictions are primarily intended for users with static IP addresses or controlled corporate networks.
Disable a security setting
To disable any security setting (2FA method, IP restriction, or payment password):
- Go to Security settings.
- Find the setting you want to disable and select Disable.
- Confirm the change using your current active security method.
Change password
To change your account password:
- Go to Security settings.
- Under Password, select Change.
- Enter your current password and the new password.
- Confirm the change using your current active security method.
Notifications
Manage email notifications about account activity and transactions.
Some security and compliance notifications are mandatory and cannot be disabled.
- Go to Security settings.
- Under Notifications, configure your notification preferences.
- Confirm the change using your current active security method.
Login history
Review your login history regularly and investigate any activity you do not recognize.
- Go to Security settings.
- Under Login history, select View.
- See a list of recent logins with dates, IP addresses, and device information.
New device confirmation
Volet.com may require additional confirmation when you sign in or perform sensitive actions from a new browser, device, or network environment.
A confirmation email is sent to your registered email address. To complete the verification, open the confirmation link from the same device and browser where the action was initiated.
If you do not recognize the request, do not approve it and contact support if necessary.
Security best practices
Help protect your account and funds by following these recommendations:
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) and use an authenticator app whenever possible.
- Use a unique password that is not used on any other website or service.
- Review your login history regularly and investigate any activity you do not recognize.
- Be cautious of phishing emails, messages, and websites that imitate Volet.com.
- Always verify that you are signing in through the official Volet.com website before entering your credentials.
- Never share your password, 2FA codes, payment password, or PIN with anyone.
- Keep your email account secure, as it is used for account recovery and security notifications.
Volet.com employees and support agents will never ask for your password, 2FA codes, payment password, or PIN.
Account access issues
Your account may be temporarily blocked if:
- You enter an incorrect login or password too many times.
- You try to access the account from an IP address that is not allowed by your IP restriction settings.
- You repeatedly enter incorrect security codes (OTP, payment password, or other security credentials).
If your account is blocked, contact support. Additional verification may be required before access can be restored.
Lost access to a security method
If you lose access to your authenticator app, messaging app, email account, payment password, or another active security method, contact support.
For security reasons, you may be asked to complete additional identity verification before access can be restored.
