On-chain swaps
On-chain swaps let you exchange cryptocurrencies directly through decentralized exchanges (DEXs) using your own wallet. Unlike off-chain exchange, funds remain under your control throughout the transaction.
Depending on the selected assets and networks, you can perform both same-network swaps and cross-chain swaps between supported blockchains.
Before you start
- Make sure you have enough native blockchain tokens to pay network fees (for example, ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, or TON on TON).
- Ensure the tokens and networks you want to use are supported by the selected route.
How to swap coins on-chain
- Open the Exchange page.
- Connect a supported wallet such as MetaMask, Phantom, TonKeeper, or another compatible wallet.
- Select the token you want to swap from and the token you want to receive. You can choose assets on the same network or on different supported blockchain networks.
- Enter the amount you want to swap.
- Review the exchange rate and fees.
- If this is the first time you are swapping a token, approve the token allowance request in your wallet.
- Confirm the swap.
Swap routes depend on available liquidity and supported networks.
In some cases, no suitable route may be available for the selected token pair, amount, or network combination. If this happens, try a different amount, token, or network.
Cross-chain swaps
Cross-chain swaps allow you to exchange assets between different blockchain networks in a single transaction.
For example:
- USDT on Ethereum → USDT on TON
- ETH on Ethereum → SOL on Solana
- USDC on Polygon → USDC on Arbitrum
Cross-chain swaps may take longer than same-network swaps and can involve additional routing, bridge, or network fees. The estimated amount and fees are displayed before you confirm the transaction.
What affects the final amount
The amount you receive may differ slightly from the quoted amount due to:
- Network fees (gas fees).
- DEX liquidity and market conditions.
- Slippage caused by price movement while the transaction is being processed.
- Changes in the exchange rate between quote generation and transaction confirmation.
The estimated amount is shown before you confirm the swap.
If a swap fails
If a swap fails, the reason is usually displayed in your wallet or on the exchange screen.
A swap may fail if:
- You do not have enough funds to pay network fees.
- The transaction exceeds the allowed slippage.
- Network congestion causes the transaction to expire.
- The token or liquidity pool becomes temporarily unavailable.
- No suitable liquidity route is available for the selected token pair or network combination.
If a swap fails, your tokens usually remain in your wallet. However, network fees may still be charged by the blockchain.
