Accept custodial crypto payments

Accept cryptocurrency payments from customers using external crypto wallets.

Volet.com creates a unique payment address for each transaction, monitors the blockchain, and credits the funds to your Volet.com account after the payment is confirmed, optionally converting to fiat or stablecoins automatically.

Custodial crypto payments are available through Hosted Checkout and API integrations.

Why use custodial crypto payments

Many businesses want to accept crypto without building blockchain payment infrastructure from scratch.

Custodial crypto payments let you accept payments from external crypto wallets while Volet.com handles payment addresses, blockchain monitoring, confirmations, and settlement to your account.

This makes the solution particularly useful for:

  • E-commerce platforms
  • Marketplaces
  • Gaming and digital services
  • SaaS platforms
  • Affiliate and reward programs
  • Businesses that want crypto payments with managed settlement
  • Platforms that need both payment acceptance and payouts

Customers can pay from any compatible crypto wallet, while you receive funds in your Volet.com account, optionally converting to fiat or stablecoins automatically.

See Non-custodial crypto payments for an alternative where you manage your own wallet.

How it works

Custodial crypto payments use crypto invoices.

A crypto invoice defines exactly how the customer should complete the payment. It includes the payment address, requested amount, selected token, blockchain network, and payment expiration time.

  6. Volet.com monitors the blockchain and waits for the required confirmations.

Supported tokens and blockchains

Customers can pay using supported cryptocurrencies and stablecoins on supported blockchain networks.

Commonly supported assets include:

  • USDT
  • USDC
  • BTC
  • ETH
  • SOL
  • TON
  • XRP
  • TRX
  • LTC
  • BNB
  • POL
  • AVAX

Supported networks depend on the selected asset.

For example, stablecoin payments may be available on networks such as:

  • Tron
  • Ethereum
  • BNB Chain
  • Arbitrum
  • Optimism
  • Polygon
  • Avalanche
  • Solana
  • TON

For the full list of supported cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and blockchain networks, see Currencies and tokens.

note

Some assets may require an additional tag, memo, or destination identifier. If required, Hosted Checkout displays it together with the payment address. The customer must enter both the address and the tag or memo when sending the payment.

Settlement and auto-conversion

Funds are credited to your Volet.com account after the payment is confirmed.

Depending on the payment request configuration, funds can be settled:

  • In the same cryptocurrency the customer paid with.
  • In fiat currency.
  • In another supported cryptocurrency or stablecoin.

Auto-conversion lets you accept crypto from customers while receiving fiat or stablecoins in your Volet.com account.

This is useful when:

  • You want predictable settlement amounts.
  • Your accounting is based on fiat or stablecoins.
  • You do not want to manage crypto price volatility.
  • You want to use received funds for payouts in another currency.

Exchange-rate validity

The payment validity period depends on whether settlement requires currency conversion.

  • Payments settled in the same currency are valid for 60 minutes.
  • Payments settled in a different currency are valid for 15 minutes.

Examples:

  • BTC → BTC — 60 minutes
  • BTC → USD — 15 minutes
  • BTC → USDT — 15 minutes
  • USDT → USD — 15 minutes

If the payment is not completed before the validity period expires, a new payment request may be required.

Fixed-rate settlement

Conversions between USD, USDT, and USDC are performed at a fixed 1:1 exchange rate.

Examples include:

  • USDT → USD
  • USDC → USD
  • USDT → USDC
  • USDC → USDT

Only the applicable processing fee is deducted from the settled amount.

Payment handling

Crypto payments depend on blockchain transactions and network confirmations.

After the customer sends the payment, Volet.com detects the transaction on the blockchain, waits for the required confirmations, and then credits the funds to your Volet.com account.

Gateway settings also allow you to control how certain payment scenarios are handled, including:

  • Payments below the requested amount.
  • Payments above the requested amount.
  • Payments received after the invoice expires.

These options help adapt payment behavior to your business requirements without requiring manual intervention.

See your payment gateway settings for the available options.

Using received funds

Funds received through custodial crypto payments are credited to your Volet.com account balance.

From there, you can:

  • Send payouts
  • Transfer funds to other Volet.com users
  • Exchange currencies
  • Withdraw to a bank account
  • Withdraw to a card
  • Withdraw to an external crypto wallet

See Withdraw or send funds for available withdrawal options.

tip

Custodial crypto payments can be used together with mass payouts. For example, you can accept stablecoin payments from customers and use the received balance to pay contractors, creators, affiliates, or partners via API.

Processing fees start at 0.25% for stablecoin payments.

No setup fees or monthly fees apply.
